A place I don't belong

Death Penalty(libertarian Party Platform 1.8)

"We oppose the administration of the death penalty by the state."

I will admit that I am way off base here. though I realize the futility of pushing such an opinion on the voting public, I must admit that I prefer strong punishment for heinous acts. let murder be met with death. however, I do believe that "everyone gets one". what I mean by this is that the first heinous offense should be dealt with through treatment and rehabilitation, but a subsequent heinous offense requires a swift and firm end. A true "zero tolerance" policy. If we can't help you, you must go. That said, I would rather exile, but to where??? Ultimately, I would want to leave these decisions to the people. Let them vote on it, crime and punishment are for the people to choose...
